Flap damper
Flap dampers are overpressure discharge devices to solve situations in which the pressure inside the accessory room is higher
than the external pressure in the event of a fire, making it difficult to open the door.
When the pressure in the accessory chamber is high enough to exceed the appropriate level,
the pressure in the accessory chamber is discharged to the outside to keep the accessory chamber pressure at the appropriate level.
Flap damper features
- Simple construction : It is a purely mechanical device that does not require electrical installation (piping/wiring) construction
- Delicate pressure control : The best overpressure discharger that works under 1 Pa of fine pressure to maintain the appropriate level of pressure inside the accessory chamber
- Easy maintenance : Simple, mechanical device configured with no additional power required for maintenance
Operation effect
① If the door is not opened because the pressure inside the annex is higher than the pressure outside
② The flap damper is opened to adjust the pressure inside the accessory chamber to the appropriate level and discharges the pressure inside the accessory chamber to the outside
③ When the pressure inside the annex is adjusted to the appropriate water level, the flap damper is closed, and the evacuees are allowed to open the door
